MIKEY

March 28th was the day my little brother was born. He passed away in a horrific car accident in Aug 2001, he was only 21 years old. He was less than 1 mile away from home.

Mikey was one of my best friends. We were pretty close. We told one another things we could never tell anyone else. We would sit and talk forever about things, everything really. Our parents, our sister, Hanna, his girlfriend, and of coarse WWF. He taught Hanna some really funny things.

There isn't a day that goes by that I do not think of him. He was a wonderful person. I know everyone says that about their loved ones, but Mikey really was. I remember him telling us, how one day he was waiting for an ATM machine, and this guy that was in front of him was leaving, and had left his card in the slot. Mikey chased him down FOREVER, to give back the ATM card. I guess the guy thought Mikey was after him.....That is just one story as there are a TON more.

After he had died, I had a tattoo of him on my leg., as just a way of letting (him) know that he is always with me, in my heart.

This is the photo that was taken of him holding Hanna, it was one of the last one's taken of him. Mikey_hanna

Tattoo  AND this is the tattoo.

I love him and miss him more than I can say. Sometimes I think about him and shave my leg except for his mustache area..Bwaaahaaa OK just kidding!!!

Clarification To My Last Post

Clarification to my last post.
We are  happy to make exchanges on your orders, and still are offering the choice of First Class Mailing.
We are speaking of orders that have not gotten to you, that are wanting changes.
We are more than happy to make exchanges on your order once you have received them, but we can no longer add or delete items from your order before it has been shipped out.
Say you get a set and decided that you want to exchange it for another set, we are happy to do so, just send it back, and we are happy to replace it for another. Or you placed an order for 2 of the same set, and wanting to change that. We will do that. What was happening is, one would place an order and then call to make changes on it. While some are just 1 or 2 items, and others are completely changing the entire order all together. While I am wanting to make make everyone happy, I found it was really taking a long time to replace the items to the inventory, making the count was correct, sending out invoices to cover the new items, and refunding to cover the items that are no longer wanted. This really makes shipping a long process. We hope you all understand.
Thank you again for your time.

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER PLEASE...

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know, that we are no longer going to be able
to make changes once you have placed your order.
I get emails asking if we can add on or take something off, or make changes
to the orders once you have place them. We are finding this is taking way too
long to do. We are trying very hard to make everyone happy, and accommodate
everyone. We are sorry but we can no longer make changes to your orders once
it is placed. We have found that by doing so, it is taking up valuable time
to ship out everyone else's orders. Like I said, we have tried very hard to
offer great prices, and great prices on our shipping, even offering to go
1st class to make it cheaper for you. But with the constant changes in
orders, is just becoming too much.
We do hope you understand. We know everyone wants their orders fast and
correct. So please make sure your order is correct before placing the
finalized button.
Thank you all for your understanding.

You Lead, I'll Follow

This is a card I made for a Hanna Stamps! swap that I am in. You_lead I really had fun making this card. I started out using Prism cardstock...OMG Can I tell you how much I love this paper. I was an all Stampin Up cardstock girl. I NEVER used anything else, until I used Prism card stock. When I folded this cardstock and used my bone folder to make a crisp line, it did not even get that shinning mark that the darker cardstock can get. Hanna Stamps! will definitely be caring this card stock soon. The base of the card is called Birchtone Dark, (love it). Next layer, blue, is the back side of the designer paper from Crate Paper called Bounce in the Taylor collection. Crate paper is one of my favorite papers as well. The circle part of the card is the Crate Paper again just the other side. See how much use can can get out of the Crate papers?  I also used the blue part of the Bounce paper and ran it through the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug folder. The stamp I used is the lamb from the Spring Time Set. I colored the lambs in with watercolor and Copic markers from the Hanna Stamps Basic Set. I then used my wonderful Janome sewing machine without thread to the edges of the layers.

I then stamped the words from Things Hanna Would Say under the lamb. I glued down Dew Drops in Cowboy. I also added ribbon to it. I used Making Memories ribbon glue..OMG LOVE this stuff.

Everything on this card can be purchased from www.hannastamps.com.

Pop_dots Here is a close up of the Dew Drops that I used on my card. As you can see they are not flat on the card. I first use mini glue dots, I only used a half of one. When I woke up this am, this is what I found. The glue dots are too thick, even after only using a small part of that glue dot. So I needed to use something else that would glue it flat onto the card. I decided to use Diamond Glaze instead. PERFECT!!!

Friday Challenge HSC9 * Mikey

Over at Splitcoaststampers, our Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge HSC9 was created by Bev.

Mikey_copy Hannaweeklychallengemar21

I made this card by using our new paper from Robin's Nest, called Black Herringbone. This so nice, looks just like a suit. I layered it with gray & black cs. I used Super and Mega Scallop Circle Punch. The ribbon is Black Satin. I added to the corners of the card Making Memories circle clear crystal brads. Oh how I just love these brads.... I colored Mikey with copics from the Hanna Stamps Copic Markers Basic set, and Slate. I colored the shirt in with Slate, and then took the colorless blender marker and removed some of the color. I then took the Cool Gray marker from the basic kit and outlined the entire image. His hair I used Buttercup Yellow and picked up some Pink Salmon right from the tip of the marker, and then colored his hair. Again blended with the colorless marker. To get the blues eyes, I took the cool gray marker and dabbed it onto the tip of the blue marker from the kit, and placed the color onto the eyes. I did this because I did not want a really BLUE eye color. By picking up color from that blue marker, it allowed me to place just a hint of the color blue. So you can mix all of the Copic markers, to really get an endless pallet of color. I then rolled the cool gray marker around on a scrap piece of paper to remove any remaining color of blue. VIOLA....
